YIPPEE’s Multiplier Event in Portugal12/18/2023 Aproximar, the Portuguese partner of YIPPEE, promoted a Multiplier Event on the 6th of December, in Lisbon. During the afternoon, 18 participants met at the headquarters of the organization. More specifically, the group was made of YIPPEE’s partners and professionals from Portuguese organizations that work with migrants and refugees. The event was divided into 2 panels. In the first one, the Partnership had the opportunity to present the resources produced by the project and explain their practical purpose to attendees. For the second panel, Aproximar invited speakers from the Portuguese Council for Refugees and Global Diáspora to share their experiences and perspectives regarding the main challenges faced by migrant youth in Portugal, and what must be done by organizations to address these issues. Because participants had diverse personal and professional backgrounds, different topics related to the social inclusion of young migrants were brought up during the discussion: employment, housing, language, access to higher education, etc. The event turned out to be a moment for stakeholders to reflect together on the particular vulnerabilities of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in each country, and to learn from each other on how to promote non-discrimination and inclusion.

YIPPEE's Transnational Project Meeting 412/18/2023 On the 6th and 7th December, in the morning time, representatives from Aproximar, IFALL, Meridaunia, Gehim-der, Redial and VABCKJS-EU got together in Lisbon, Portugal, for the Final TPM of the YIPPEE initiative. During the event, partners had the opportunity to engage in a joint overview of the project results: the Methodological Framework for Storytelling (IO1), the Youth Inclusion Scheme Handbook (IO2), the Open Educational Resources (IO3), the Manifesto for Intersectoral Co-operation (IO4) and the Protocol for Certification of Competencies (IO5).
Since the partnership has the goal to make sure that youth workers and professionals that work with young migrants, refugees and asylum seekers have access to the resources created by YIPPEE, some recommendations regarding Communication and Dissemination were also addressed in the meeting. The strategy is to use different social media channels to increase the reach of these resources and to share useful information in order to promote the use of the learning tools and materials. In addition, the Final TPM was an important moment for the Consortium to structure the next steps of project management to ensure an articulated closure of YIPPEE, as the initiative is coming to an end. |
